Is it OK to jump around the different series and instead of following them in order, focus on one of the modules within a certain week? For example, I came across in Week 5 of the Marathon Prep series the Lower Body Flexible Routine module. I'm finding this module very helpful and am focusing on its contents to make me a better (older beginner) runner. I can appreciate the logic and wisdom of following things in order, but is there any detriment to picking and choosing certain modules on occasion? My goal is not to enter any type of competitive running or set new PRs, but instead, as I do with skiing, for enjoyment and overall health purposes.

Hi David,
absolutely! The only time the precise order would really matter would be when getting ready for a specific race with a target date to aim for. Other than that - have fun! I sometimes just do 2-3 of my fav drills for days and just increase or decrease the reps.
I do recommend though that if confronted with a choice to do less or to do more - go with less (number of reps, weight, days of practice).
