I am currently landing on my midfoot just out ahead of my hips. My knee flexion definitely opens up early before passing my stance leg probably leading to the midfoot strike (not holding pose long enough). Is this a falling or pulling problem, or both?
Thank you for your help!
Good question! Hard to say for sure because what we sometimes think we do is not what is actually happening. But let's say you correctly describe what is happening, so in that scenario it could be both. The errors are the same for everyone, however the reasons for these errors are rather individual. So this is more of a perception problem. But to answer your specific question I would say it is more of a falling problem.
When you do not hold pose long enough you prevent yourself from falling effectively and that affects the pull. Practice wall falls on each leg and on both. When you fall correctly while running you should feel your hips leading the fall (not your chest). I hope this helps!
